The fascination of the ocean for young and old
Over 70 per cent of our planet is covered by vast expanses of water, which we call oceans. Beneath their surface lies a fascinating world, the discovery of which is one of the never-ending tasks of mankind. More than 250,000 species have been recorded so far, and research is constantly bringing new life forms and secrets to light.
The new immersive special exhibition "Ocean Odyssey" invites explorers of all ages to take a unique look beneath the surface of the oceans and their many inhabitants. After all, who hasn't dreamed of being swarmed by fish, seeing a coral reef up close or playing in the water with dolphins?
Dive with us!
Experience the underwater world - life-size and up close
Watch deep-sea fish that are rarely seen, feel as if you are touching a great white shark and marvel at dancing schools of fish: if you take part in the dive, you will find yourself surrounded by giant blue whales, orcas and sperm whales.
Guests can experience the shapes and colours of the underwater flora and fauna in full life size and up close. From exotic seahorses and glowing jellyfish to deep dark waters where no light can penetrate, every corner of the immersive ocean reveals new breathtaking landscapes and creatures.
For adults and children alike, this is an opportunity to discover the infinite richness of the oceans that few people get to see and which is currently in a fragile state.
Playlist of the exhibition
New: this exhibition has been created with spatialized sound technology.
New: our spatialized sound technology
Sound spatialization is an innovative technology that enables sound to be distributed in a localized way, thanks to a network of loudspeakers, each of which can emit a distinct sound. This creates unique immersive atmospheres, with each sound element being independent and able to move precisely through the space according to artistic needs. This technique enriches the visual experience, subtly guiding visitors and immersing them fully in the environment.
In Ocean Wonders, an immersive dive, sound spatialization is essential to reproduce the depth and immensity of underwater worlds. From the haunting songs of whales to the muted vibrations of the ocean depths, every sound is carefully placed to plunge the audience into the heart of the ocean. Sound displacements, simulating the movement of schools of fish or the majestic approach of a sperm whale, reinforce the sensation of total immersion, transporting visitors on an acoustic and visual journey through the mysteries of the sea.
