The main exhibition « Gustav Klimt, Gold in motion » consists of works by artist Gustav Klimt and his contemporaries and offers visitors a new perspective of nineteenth and twentieth-century Viennese painting.
Golden and brightly coloured portraits, landscapes are on display as well as masterpieces, such as Klimt’s famous The Kiss painting, in large-sized versions. Visitors are immersed in the imperial Vienna of the late nineteenth century.
Between each projection of Klimt’s works is presented the short programme « Hundertwasser, in the wake of the Vienna Secession » which focuses on the impressive overall experience of the work of Viennese artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000).
